For glamour and sophistication it’s hard to beat Italy, and this eight-day tour is packed with both – plus the Amalfi coast, arguably the most splendorous coastline in Europe, and a glimpse into Roman history!  You will be enchanted by the city of Sorrento, a superb setting, with a million atmospheric houses and grandiose hotels, cobbled streets and quaint squares.

A boat journey takes you to the captivating island of Capri, where it will soon become clear why it came to be known as a Garden of Eden. And anyone with an interest in history will love Pompeii, famously entombed by an eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD. The streets and buildings are remarkably well preserved and you can’t fail to be impressed by this insight into ancient history, and moving human touches at every turn.
