The price of this holiday is per person based on two people sharing a twin room. Single rooms are available at a supplement of £149. The price includes return flights, three nights at Hotel Stadtkrug in Salzburg and four nights at the Hotel Steigenberger in Kaprun, all four-star with dinner bed and breakfast, tour of the Austrian Lake District, guided tour of Salzburg, visit to the Krimml waterfalls, tour to the Grossglockner mountain, all transport as mentioned, services of a Riviera Tour Manager. Where hotels feature an outdoor swimming pool, this will be open summer months, weather permitting.

Day 1

Fly to Munich.

Day 2

Today we visit Salzburg, in the morning, we have a guided tour seeing all the principal places of interest then you are free to enjoy the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 3

This morning’s scenic drive takes you to Mondsee, Traunsee and Traunkirchen, we pass through the town of Bad Ischl and on to St Wolfgang, where we can relax in this delightful lakeside spot. 

Day 4

This morning we drive into the High Alps and visit the spectacular 17th century Hellbrunn Palace just outside Salzburg.

Day 5

Today we commence our exploration of some of the world’s finest alpine scenery, seeing nature at its forceful best, the Krimml waterfalls where we have ample time to explore the park.

Day 6

Today we enjoy another breathtaking journey, visiting Austria’s highest mountain – the Grossglockner, continuing up the twisting valley to reach the mighty Pasterze Glacier and the ‘Emperor’s Viewpoint’.

Day 7

During your free day today, why not take the cable car up the Kitzsteinhorn, you could take a boat trip on the lake in nearby Zell or just a leisurely stroll around the village itself.
