The trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure is finally here – after a VERY long wait. The third instalment of the Maze Runner movies was originally scheduled for release in February 2017, but filming was delayed over a year after lead Dylan O’Brien was injured on set.

So, is it worth the wait? If you’re a Mad Max fan then certainly. After the first 20-second rehash of the first two movies, we see Thomas (O’Brien), Teresa Agnes (Kaya Scodelario-Davis aka Effy off of Skins) and Newt (Game of Thrones’ Thomas Brodie-Sangster) speeding into a train heist across a post-apocalyptic desert landscape.

So, what’s the plot? Death Cure will see Thomas leading his group of escaped Gladers as they break into the Last City, a labyrinth containing the answers to all their questions.

The Death Cure will be the final film in the trilogy, based on James Dashner’s Maze Runner novels, following the story of a group of young adults trapped in a dystopian world. The first two films, released in 2014 and 2015, both grossed over $300 million from a $34m and $61m budget respectively.
