EastEnders: did you spot the latest continuity blunder?

There was another phone mix-up in Thursday's episode of the BBC1 soap

EastEnders made another phone-related continuity error in Thursday’s episodes, mere weeks after the same mistake occurred.

Last night’s episode of the BBC1 soap saw Billy’s phone receive a call from Honey, whose number was clearly shown as being 07516 844447.

Then came a scene broadcast three minutes later in which an ailing Phil text messaged his mate Tony from his hospital bed – using the very same number.

The gaffe follows a similar blunder in an episode that aired on Friday 11 November. Back then, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that both Billy and Zainab appeared to have the same number.

EastEnders seems to have featured more continuity errors than usual this week, what with an advent calendar jumping back in time 11 days and Ronnie trying to book a dream holiday cottage in Dorset that turned out to be Ann Hathaway’s house in Stratford-upon-Avon.
