The 26-year-old, who partnered EastEnders actress Tameka Empson before she was eliminated earlier in the series, was assaulted by a group as he walked to a nightclub with fellow dancers Aljaz Skorjanec and Neil Jones on Saturday night.

But Marquez tweeted that he was looking forward to dancing in the next episode of Strictly, despite the incident.
