OH my soggy bottom it was The Great British Bake Off semi-final tonight. Where has the time gone?

This week the four remaining bakers - Selasi, Candice, Jane and Andrew - faced the challenge (or should I say défi) of making patisseries for Mary and Paul.

Get up to date on who ROSE to the challenge and who crumbled on our live blog below...

9pm That's it from us tonight - see you next week for the final!

8:59pm STOP ALL THE CLOCKS. SELASI HAS LEFT THE BAKE OFF TENT

It's been "splendid" he said. "I laaaved it," he said.

8:52pm She may refer to herself in the third person as CB, but my god Candice is a good cook... and Mary quite fancies her fondant

8:45pm Look at ‘em peepin and creepin

8:38pm Pull up your socks Selasi, god damn it!!! Don’t let us down at the (semi-)final hurdle!

8:30pm Andrew’s face is almost as good for angst as John Lynch’s in The Fall

8:26pm Anyone else reminded of this classic?

8:22pm For the technical, the bakers have to make a savarin… there’s chocolate, sugar, caramel and yeast, yes YEAST.

8:15pm I too live my life by that mantra, Jane: Everything is going to be absolutely fine.

8:13pm It’s like they knew what was coming…

Now that's a fun idea Mel...

8:11pm Imagine if Selasi finished your sentences. Imagine. You should be so lucky.

8:09pm STRESSSSS. Andrew is going to end up with a palmier as dry as Gandhi’s left flip flop.

8:04pm Laughed way too much at Mel and Sue alternating words, and then again at them being terribly chic and French. Mon Dieu I will miss them.

Legends.

7pm Only 60 minutes til the Bake Off semi final... patisserie-themed snacks at the ready!
