Ruling queen of the Bake Off, Nadiya Hussain, is all set to pass on her skills to the next generation of cake-makers.
The 2015 winner has just been announced as a judge on CBBC’s Junior Bake Off – and we think she’ll do a fab job.
Hussain will be working alongside chef and food writer Allegra McEvedy, judging the efforts of 40 nine to 12-year-olds in the competition presented by Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes.
The little ‘uns will each complete two bakes over ten heats, including a technical and showstopper challenge.
It’s the icing on the cake (sorry) for a great year for Hussain since she was named Bake Off winner last October. She’s bagged her own cookbook, a Times column, a TV travel series and even made a cake for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
She said of the new show: “This time last year I was in the Bake Off tent and now I get to go back and help encourage the next generation to get their bake on.”
