Denise Robertson has been This Morning’s agony aunt for 28 years, since the first show’s very first broadcast, but she’s now been absent from the sofa for several weeks.

Viewers have been wondering why she hasn’t been around to help with their problems — and today This Morning explained that Robertson has sadly been away because she’s been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

And Robertson left a message of her own on the This Morning Facebook page with more details about her illness, saying “I don’t plan to give up without a fight.”
