Mick Carter’s stag do is to take an unexpected turn on Monday when he ends up sharing a kiss with recent returnee Jack Branning.
But Mick isn’t about to call a halt to his upcoming wedding to Linda anytime soon – the surprise snog only happens because Mick is fulfilling the terms of a bet that stipulates he has to kiss the next stranger who walks through the doors of the Queen Vic!
As for how Scott Maslen felt about sharing scenes with characters like the Carters (who, of course, Jack has never before encountered), the actor said:
“It felt a bit strange because there are new characters who I don’t know but that fits with the story. When you go away for a while and come back there’s always knew people you’ve got to get to know and that’s part of the fun of it. It felt great!”
And fans who are enjoying seeing Jack back on screen needn’t worry – Maslen may only be around for a few episodes over the festive season, but will be making a full-time return from January. And it seems that Jack will be far more interested in pursuing a relationship with Ronnie rather than Mick:
“One of the things I’ve learnt while I’ve been away is that people don’t forget about Jack and Ronnie and they’re constantly wanting them back together.
“It’s a bonus to have that because it means people like what me and Sam do. We enjoy working together and we have a lot of fun, which is so important. I’m looking forward to spending more time with her.”
