Doctor Who fans don’t come much bigger than comedian Frank Skinner who realised a lifetime’s ambition last year with a cameo appearance in the episode Mummy on the Orient Express playing the space train’s chief engineer Perkins.

The episode, described as “an opulent ride with anaemic horror” in the RadioTimes.com review, went down so well with everyone that showrunner Steven Moffat assured him he was now “a close personal friend of Doctor Who”.

So of course, Skinner (who some fans want to come back as the full time companion once – or if – Jenna Coleman leaves) jumped at the chance to chair our Doctor Who panel at the Radio Times Festival.

He will quiz current Time Lord Peter Capaldi, Moffat and executive producer Brian Minchin about the inner workings of the Whoniverse, plus you’ll get your chance to ask questions of the pair too!
