Following his recent suspension, The Only Way Is Essex’s Mario Falcone has returned to the ITVBe show saying: “I don’t feel like I’m done yet”.
Mario’s suspension, his second during his time on the show, came in May of this year after he was seen to be promoting a diet product on his social media accounts. The timing meant he missed out on filming this year’s spin-off show The Only Way is Marbs in Marbella. But the 27-year-old, who joined the show during 2011’s third series, says he has no desire to call time on TOWIE yet.
“I’d leave the show when I’m ready to leave,” Mario told RadioTimes.com. “I’d want to do it properly as well, I’d want to leave in the right way like Mark [Wright] and Joey [Essex] have done.”
“I still feel like I’ve got a little bit more to give. As and when the time comes where I no longer feel like I fit in, or if I haven’t got any storylines left, I’d remove myself promptly.”
Mario admitted he was “gutted” not to join the cast for the trip to Marbella, although it’s not just down to the sun-drenched location, he insisted. “It was just the fact that I obviously saw the boys who I’m friends with on Instagram posting pictures, having a good time together and obviously I wasn’t part of that.”
In fact, Mario, who enjoyed a trip to Portugal with his girlfriend Emma McVey during the break, has put a bit of a Marbs ban on himself. It means we won’t be seeing any of him in ITVBe’s upcoming show Life on Marbs, with members of the TOWIE cast set to cameo as the series follows the lives of Spain’s super rich.
“Me and Marbella just don’t get along. First time I went I got engaged and we broke up, second time I got a glass of wine in my face and this time I got suspended so Marbella’s out of the window.”
