Impressionist Danny Posthill has just earned a place in this weekend’s Britain’s Got Talent final and he’s already thinking up which famous faces (or should that be voices?) his next act will include. And if he wins – thus earning a spot performing at this year’s Royal Variety Show – well it seems most of the royals are at risk of an impression or two.
“Everyone does Prince Charles, so I’m sure he’d be at risk of an impression from me,” Posthill told RadioTimes.com. And he’s not stopping there: “The Queen I could probably give a good go.”
Although the comedian admits he would be walking on thin ice: “If you get it wrong you’re in so much trouble…”
Back to this Sunday’s final, Posthill has someone much closer to BGT in mind to impersonate.
“I’ve saved a couple of people who we all know, maybe another one of the contestants…” he teased.
While trying to think up which act Posthill could possibly be thinking of, he gave one almighty hint: “Crumble…”
Yes, this Sunday night it looks like David Walliams’s Golden Buzzer act, singer and Casio organ player Lorraine Bowen, will indeed be in the final; in comedy spirit if not in all of her crumble song glory. Here’s hoping he dons her space-themed outfit, eh?
Posthill also appeared to suggest he’ll be working on his best Simon Cowell impression during tonight’s show, after dazzling with his version of co-hosts Ant and Dec. Basically, no one’s safe.
