It certainly looks that way next week after Kat (Jessie Wallace) discovers that Alfie (Shane Richie) has made an offer of £900.000 on the Queen Vic.

Yesterday’s episode of EastEnders saw Alfie trying to help pub landlord Mick (Danny Dyer), who is currently trying to buy Shirley out of the Walford boozer.

Monday’s episode will see Shirley telling Mick to accept Alfie’s offer if that’s what he wants. But Kat is less than happy about Alfie’s plans and wastes no time in venting her anger, telling him that this is their chance to start a new life and not return to their old.

“You always have to ruin it, don’t you?” Kat seethes when Alfie divulges his plan. Kat then realises that what she wants to do with her life is be a mum, prompting Alfie to suggest a different move entirely. But how will Kat react?
