Irish singing duo Jedward haven’t been very good at keeping their involvement in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! secret, with various fin-filled tweets. But now it’s been confirmed that the pair will indeed have a cameo role(s), alongside David Hasselhoff and Jerry Springer. Sources close to the project suggest the former X Factor contestants will have something to do with real-life friend Tara Reid’s April. Long-lost cousins, perhaps? Or more kids that look far too old to really be hers?

A cameo role in Sharknado is usally a pretty clear indicator the character in question won’t last too long. Remember Perez Hilton? Gone in a second. Kelly Osbourne? Barely even got a word out. But Jedward look like they can handle the Sharknado heat. Here’s some photographic evidence to suggest they’re more than ready…

They’re in with Tara Reid and her character April has a chainsaw for a hand. If Sharknado 1 and 2 have taught us anything, it’s that the ones with the chainsaws will win.

In fact, they’re already buddied up with co-star Ian Ziering, too. He’s been eaten by a shark and quite literally come out of the other side. Stick with him and they’re safe, surely.

They know that two heads are better than one. In these sort of films the guy left alone at the back always dies, right?

They’ve totally got that solid spiked up hair that can easily be used to fight off a shark… wait, WHAT? Jedward changed their hair?! Well, maybe they can waft the sharks away. Weirder things have happened in this film.

They’ve got the survival thing down

And apparently boast some skills vital for a crisis

They’ve nailed the process of film making

In fact, they’ve apparently already cleared up one potential Sharknado

Basically, they’re, er Jepic…
