16 new celebrities will be feeling the heat of Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry this February, but at least they’ll have four presenters in the Bake Off tent to sweeten the deal.

Regular Great British Bake Off presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins will be joined by comedians Ed Byrne and Jo Brand. Each presenter will host an episode featuring four famous faces hoping to be crowned Comic Relief Star Baker.

The series will be broadcast over four weeks on BBC1 in February, as well as a special Comic Relief version of An Extra Slice on Red Nose Day itself (Friday 13 March).

Mary Berry said, “It was great fun working with all of the celebrity bakers. They gave it their all and although there were some baking catastrophes, some surprising hidden skills were revealed.

“One thing for certain is that anyone can have a go at baking and it’s a great way to raise money for Comic Relief – and you are guaranteed to have a lot of fun!”
