Only The Young have been voted out in tonight’s X Factor as the acts faced another double elimination weekend.
Unlike regular results nights, the band didn’t face a sing-off, rather it was the act with the lowest number of public votes that had to leave the competition.
Only The Young were left on stage with Stevi Ritchie and Fleur East, which host Dermot O’Leary explained wasn’t the bottom three, but it was Louis Walsh’s band that were sent on their way after tonight’s performance of Elton John’s Something About The Way You Look Tonight.
That leaves Louis with just one act left in the competition, eight-piece boy band Stereo Kicks.
The group were clearly devastated, but thanked the show and vowed it “wasn’t the last” we’ve seen of OTY.
Louis added, “They’re so young… they just need a record deal.”
Will Louis sign them up himself, perhaps?
It’s not over for the remaining six acts, who still face a normal results show tomorrow night as the show speeds towards the final at Wembley Arena.
