MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace might not be known for his dancing skills, but he’s not at all apprehensive about foxtrotting out of the kitchen and onto the dance floor.
“I wasn’t nervous from the moment we stepped onto the floor. Beforehand I just could not sit still,” he tells RadioTimes.com.
In fact, though he’s yet to perform to the nation, his sights are already set on learning some tricky dances later on in the competition.
“I’m really looking forward to salsa but if we get a chance to do a tango that must be an incredible thing to learn.”
The reason for his cool confidence might be that he’s not really feeling the pressure…
“The pressure is off me because I’m obviously not one of the young, fit, model-types. I’m an old dad so I think I may have an element of surprise,” he says.
Strictly Come Dancing starts on Friday 26th September at 9:00pm on BBC1
