Megan is to have a fiery showdown with archenemy Charity in tonight's double bill of Emmerdale. The confrontation comes after Robbie finds incriminating sat nav evidence that Charity has visited an abortion clinic - but will Declan believe Megan when she insists that his wife had a termination rather than a miscarriage?
"Charity is a master manipulator," actress Gaynor Faye, who plays Megan, tells RadioTimes.com. "Megan thinks she has the proof she needs, but will it be enough? I love playing these scenes because they're amazing fun. Megan and Charity are quite similar - they're both headstrong, they'll do anything to get on and they adore Declan. But I don't think Megan would quite sink to Charity's levels. And yet people love Charity. Fans are always telling me to leave Charity alone! It's a credit to Emma Atkins, who plays her, that Charity can get away with it."
Viewers can certainly expect to see an escalation in hostilities this evening as Charity denies Megan's accusations and orders her to leave Home Farm. But one thing's for certain: it's far from over between the two of them. "Emma and I do have to laugh when we get these scenes," says Faye. "We'll be chatting away nicely before we go for a take, and then we'll have to shout all these nasty things at each other before going back to normal again. It's quite a strange thing to do, but I love it!"
