Chad Michael Murray, the actor who charmed his way onto the walls of teenage bedrooms the world over as troubled basketball player and desperate romantic Lucas Scott, is poised to return to our TV screens.
The 33-year-old star, who left One Tree Hill at the end of its sixth season back in 2009, is set to act opposite Hayley Atwell, and Enver Gjokaj, in Marvel’s comic book spin-off Agent Carter.
Murray will have a main role in the drama, as Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Jack Thompson.
Agent Carter, starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, is inspired by feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as well as short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.
The series will pick up Peggy’s story in 1946, when the men have returned from fighting the war. In the wake of losing the love of her life Steve Rogers, Peggy must balance being a single woman in 1940s America with carrying out secret missions for Howard Stark.
