Bride-to-be Nancy (Jessica Fox) is to put herself in a dangerous position next week when she breaks up an argument between Finn (Keith Rice) and his former girlfriend Amber (Lauren Gabrielle-Thomas).
Having made an enemy of evil Finn, Nancy will later be attacked by the rapist, but luckily Phoebe (Mandip Gill) will chase off the perpetrator.
"When the attack happens, Nancy has no idea who's to blame - she's in total shock," Jessica Fox reveals in the new issue of Inside Soap. "Thankfully, Phoebe turns up and scares Finn away before he can do more damage. Afterwards, Nancy's like a robot going through the motions, but she heads straight to the police to report the incident."
Viewers have been assured that Finn will not escape justice for much longer following a campaign of terror that has already seen him rape John Paul McQueen and attack Blessing Chambers. Speaking recently, the soap's executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said:
"Keith Rice has delivered an astonishing performance as Finn - and as frustrating as it may be for the audience, it was really important that we let the story play out in a truthful way.
"We have closely followed advice from male rape survivors, and wanted to send the message that, although it can take time for victims of male rape to come forward, this won't prevent them from being listened to, or mean that their attacker will not face the full force of the law. Rest assured that for John Paul, justice will prevail."
