STOP EVERYTHING. The Great British Bake Off hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are getting their own chat show.

Yes, ITV has confirmed that the beloved duo will meet some of our favourite celebrities as well as some quirky real life characters on their very own live daily chat show.

It’s been 16 years since the pair had their own show, and judging from their reactions I think we can expect some fun.

“I’ve been asked to host a show with somebody called Porkin? Parkin? Portly..? I’ve never heard of her – but I’ll be very happy to meet her soon,” jokes Mel.

Sue adds, “I very much look forward to working with Mel again, although, for legal reasons, we will now be at least one metre apart at all times.”

There doesn’t seem to be a whisper of a name for the show (add your ideas to the comments section below) so perhaps they’re keeping it simple with The Mel and Sue chat show?

“I’ve been a big Mel & Sue fan for years and I’m thrilled their new show will be part of the ITV Daytime schedule,” says ITV’s director of Daytime Helen Warner. “Both are brilliant broadcasters and comedians and bring a unique warmth and charisma as presenters.”

No news on when it will kick off, but watch this space for more…
