Danny Miller has been been talking about the powerful scenes in next week's episodes of Emmerdale that see his character Aaron Livesy reunited with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
"Paddy works out that Aaron is back in the village and goes to see him," the actor explains to RadioTimes.com. "And as soon as he walked through the door, it just brought back so many good memories for both Dominic and me. I did get choked up. There wasn't really any acting required and I'm sure Dominic won't mind me saying that he felt the same."
Long-time viewers of the ITV soap will recall the tearjerking moment in 2010 that saw Aaron reveal his true sexuality to Paddy. Now, in scenes to be shown on Wednesday 20 August, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) will be seen informing a shocked Paddy that Aaron is hiding out at the farm. Paddy heads straight over and is overjoyed to see Aaron, throwing his arms around him.
"Dominic was a real mentor when we were filming a lot of the 'coming out' scenes," continues Miller. "He'd tell me if I was going wrong and what I should be doing at certain points. I always kept in touch with him and we went out on regular occasions, but to be back on set with him was definitely emotional. The scene where we see each other again was written to be that way, but we didn't really have to say anything. He's been such an inspiration in my career."
