Professional dancer Ola Jordan starts training for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing today, admitting it’s different without her husband James Jordan by her side.
“It’s very strange for me today as I’m going to training without my boy,” she writes on Twitter adding, “Will miss him there very much”.
James turned down a reduced role on this year’s series, which would have seen him without a celebrity partner, according to the BBC. However, the dancer told his Twitter followers, “Do not believe everything the BBC have written in their statement”.
James appeared on the show for eight series and it seems Ola fears life backstage won’t be quite the same without him.
“But who’s now going to wind people up? I hope it’s not going to be boring in training!”
Dancing with the Star’s Tristan MacManus will step in for James, while Kevin Clifton’s sister Joanne Clifton will also arrive to fill the space left by Artem Chigvintsev. Chigvintsev has left the show to focus on his work in the US.
Another familiar face missing will be that of Robin Windsor. Windsor has been forced to leave the competition due to an ongoing back injury, which he says was a “really difficult decision”.
In his place is SCD newbie Trent Whiddon, who hails from Australia with experience on both the US and Australian Dancing With the Stars series.
