Why aren't more perfumes inspired by fish?

At first glance, we can't imagine there's much of a market for Tara Reid's new fragrance. That's unless you've always wanted to smell like, er, fish...

Conveniently tying in with the release of Sharknado 2: The Second One, Shark by Tara Reid is for all you folk who watched the aerial gore-fest last week and thought... why doesn't someone make a scent based on that?

Now, before you go and write off poor Tara, she's made no attempts to actually recreate the smell of the razor-toothed monsters of the deep. Instead, Shark by Tara Reid is pitched as a "light and refreshing perfume perfect for day-to-day wear." It is said to "incorporate a plethora of 'lavender' coloured flowers, which is Tara's favourite colour" to create a "fresh, light and fun feel." So, less bloody mayhem, more "cool blue rose, amber and musk..."

It's all rather perplexing if you ask us, although if you did decide to invest in a bottle of shark-inspired musk, you'll have to fork out $24.95 for the pleasure.

Does Tara's new scent have bite? Will it make a big splash! We'll let you know when we've FINished using it...

Boom, boom!
