You might be more used to seeing him with a curly head of hair and a fur cape thrown over his shoulders, but Kit Harington is leaving the world of Westeros behind for a role in Vera Brittain’s WWI works Testament of Youth.
The 27-year-old actor, who plays Jon Snow in the hit HBO fantasy drama, stars alongside Hayley Atwell, Dominic West, Colin Morgan, Emily Watson, Miranda Richardson and Alicia Vikander in the first trailer for the moving memoir’s adaptation.
The trailer, showcasing a clean cut version of the Thrones actor, sees Harington’s Roland Leighton meet and fall for Vikander’s Vera Brittain.
Published in 1933, Brittain’s Testament of Youth is the first instalment of her memoirs, recording her life and experiences during the First World War.
Testament of Youth will be in UK cinemas 2nd January 2015
