Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) has been revealed to be the killer of the villainous Fraser Black (Jesse Birdsall).
In a campaign called #FraserFridays, Hollyoaks has been sending out a clue to the identity of the murderer each week on picture sharing network Snapchat, with today’s big reveal coming three hours before it’s shown on E4’s first-look episode at 7pm.
Recent episodes of Hollyoaks have seen the list of possible suspects narrow to just three candidates, with Det Sgt Sonny Valentine (Devon Anderson) singling out Freddie (Charlie Clapham) and Joe Roscoe (Ayden Callaghan) plus their mum Sandy (Gillian Taylforth).
But the net appeared to be closing in this week as evidence was found that linked Freddie to his stepfather’s shooting. When Fraser’s body was first found, a zip from a missing hoodie was discovered at the scene – a top that was shown to have belonged to Freddie.
A spokesperson for Lime Pictures said of the murder mystery’s solution: “As this is Hollyoaks, there are bigger twists and turns to come, so viewers should make sure they tune in to find out what happens next.”
Arch-villain Fraser was found murdered at a petrol station in April, with viewers speculating as to whodunit ever since.
