A "reinivgorated" Theresa McQueen looks set to cause trouble when actress Jorgie Porter makes her return to Hollyoaks later this year.
Regular viewers will know that Theresa is languishing in jail after being caught for the murder of Calvin Valentine. But show boss Bryan Kirkwood has revealed that the character will be out of prison when she reappears on the C4 soap.
"Jorgie Porter is filming with us again and it's a delight to have her back. We underused Theresa in her last year in the show, so now we will see a renewed, reinvigorated Theresa causing havoc in all the right - and wrong - places," the show's executive producer told Inside Soap. "She will get out of prison, but how she manages this remains to be seen."
Porter announced her comeback back in April after just a few months away from Hollyoaks. Speaking at the time, the 26-year-old said: "I am excited to be returning. Theresa is awaiting trial but has some serious unfinished business before then so I am thrilled to be able to come back and finish what we started."
Theresa isn't the only member of the McQueen clan set for a return in 2014: actress Nicole Barber-Lane will also be heading back, paving the way for the introduction of Myra's nieces, who are set to make their debut this autumn.
