Myra McQueen is to make a return to Hollyoaks later this year. Actress Nicole Barber-Lane made a brief return to the C4 soap back in January, but is now expected to reprise the role of loudmouth Myra on a full-time basis.
The character faked her own death in 2013 during a showdown with the evil Dr Browning. Myra was shot during a docklands confrontation, but it was later revealed that she’d survived thanks to a bullet-proof vest.
Since then, Myra has been living in Spain with her daughter Jacqui and while exact details of her return are being kept under wraps, it is believed that her reappearance is tied to Theresa McQueen’s (Jorgie Porter) comeback. Theresa is, of course, currently languishing in prison as she awaits trial for the murder of Calvin Valentine.
A spokesperson for Hollyoaks said today: “We can confirm Myra will be returning for a longer stint this time around. We can’t tell you anymore than that, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. We reckon she won’t be arriving quietly!”
