The town of Lynn in Massachusetts played host to Hollywood A-listers Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch as they filmed St Patrick's Day-themed scenes for upcoming crime film Black Mass.
Depp is barely recognisable in full costume for his role as mob boss Whitey Bulger. The actor was seen sporting slicked back hair, oversize shades, a white t-shirt and leather jacket in video footage caught by ABC's WCVB news.
Playing Depp's onscreen brother, Cumberbatch wore a more sedate smart white shirt, green tie and neat hair look for his role as politician Senator William ”Billy” Bulger.
Both actors were seen waving to fans, with Depp even hanging out of his SUV to get a better look at the crowds.
The film follows the real-life story of Whitey as an infamous Boston crime king, who headed up a violent gang while simultaneously informing on his rivals to the FBI. His brother William claimed to be unaware of his actions.
