Plot details for series five are still few and far between, but it’s safe to assume Downton Abbey‘s kitchen will be kept in good shape for a while longer.
Lesley Nicol, who plays the Crawley’s cook Mrs Patmore, has said she has no plans to leave Julian Fellowes’ hit period drama, which is set to return to our screens later this year.
“One day they will decide to stop it. But I’m very happy and I’m not going to run away from it now,” she told the Mirror.
It’s been a good week for fans of the Crawleys and their staff – Michelle Dockery, who plays the lovely Lady Mary, also revealed that she won’t leave the drama, saying: ” I’m here till the end, whenever that may be.”
Now all we need is the rest of the cast to confirm that they’ll never ever say goodbye to the Abbey…
Downton Abbey is back for a fifth series and a Christmas special later this year.
