The BBC has released a new image of the extended Carter clan from EastEnders, almost six months on from Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda’s (Kellie Bright) debut over Christmas 2013.

Tonight’s episode will see the unveiling of Linda’s precious new sign, a moment which completes the redecoration of Walford’s Queen Vic pub. But what secrets are set to shake the walls of that famous boozer over the coming months?

Viewers have recently learned that – unbeknownst to him – Shirley (Linda Henry) is actually Mick’s mother. At the moment, he is under the impression that they are siblings, but when will the Vic’s landlord learn the truth?

Speaking to RadioTimes.com at the recent British Soap Awards, Dyer revealed:  "I don't know what my reaction is going to be, but I can guarantee I'll have a Christmas hat on. Bit of turkey. Boom!"

When quizzed about whether viewers would one day see Stan's (Timothy West) ex-wife, the oft-referred to but never actually seen Sylvie, so-star Kellie Bright hinted: "You might. I don't know, but you might!"

Actor Danny-Boy Hatchard – who plays Mick and Linda’s soldier son Lee – also confirmed that he would be back in the near future for a further stint.
