We are more used to seeing him flex his muscles in The Hunger Games, but Sam Claflin is showing off a softer side in a new trailer for movie Love, Rosie.
The 27-year-old star plays Alex Stewart in the film, opposite Lily Collins (as Rosie Dunne) and Suki Waterhouse (as Bethany). And he appears to have a bit of a soft spot for both of them.
The film seems to ponder the age-old question of whether or not boys and girls can be friends, When Harry Met Sally-style. Clafin even evokes that classic cafe scene. Sort of.
Love, Rosie, based on the bestselling novel Where Rainbows End by queen of the beach-read Cecelia Ahern, tells the story of Alex and Rosie, childhood chums who have the potential to be more than friends, as life and other loves get in the way of their relationship.
The film, directed by Christian Ditter, will be in UK cinemas 17 October.
