Joey Essex has completed a screen test for this year’s ITV2 X Factor spin-off show, according to the Sun.
Last year’s hosts Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson have yet to confirm whether they’re staying or going. And while a source close to the show did confirm in April that “preliminary discussions” had taken place with other famous faces, they noted that the line-up “could very well stay the same”.
Joey proved to be quite popular on the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
And he was chucked into his fair share of Bush Tucker trials which could be good practice if he’s thrown into the snakepit of grilling Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and whoever else is on the panel about the latest batch of singers…
Mr Essex himself actually came and completed work experience for our neighbours Top of the Pops magazine and admits in this month’s issue that he’d struggle to work in an office.
“I’d be sacked on the first morning. I’m not very good under pressure. And if I can’t get my clothes right, that stresses me out.”
He makes a mean cuppa though. “I always put the milk in after the water. I think it’s weird when people put milk in first. That’s well freaky”.
Of course, he’s always reem too. “I never give up, I’m always on time, I’m always reem, my hair’s always done and my eyes always looking blue.”
