Coronation Street stalwart Helen Worth has been recognised for her four decades' worth of service on the ITV soap with an Outstanding Achievement prize at this year's BSAs.
Worth, who made her Street debut as the long-suffering Gail back in 1974, paid tribute to the writers and actors at Corrie in her acceptance speech. She also thanked viewers for "laughing and crying" with Gail over the years, before adding: "And I admit it's been mostly crying."
Gail has been married four times during her time in Weatherfield and it was husband number three - Brian Capron aka Richard Hillman - who, along with casting director Judi Hayfield, handed Worth her award.
You can see the actress's speech in full below, while the British Soap Awards air in full tonight at 8.15pm on ITV.
