Ellen DeGeneres is pretty certain Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer act Bars and Melody are going to do well as a singing and rapping double act. So much so that she wants to make sure she's part of their future success.

"I think you have a big future ahead of you," she says, "So I want to make sure I'm in on this".

The boys Charlie, 15, and Leondre, 13, joined Ellen on her US chat show yesterday, and after they had performed their version of Hope, Ellen made her bid to become part of the Bars and Melody story. In style, we should add...

She had a whole uniform made for them – Bars and Melody jackets, headphones and trainers all with a nice big E for Ellen stitched on.

And she could certainly be backing a winner. The boys after all have gone straight through to the semi-finals thanks to Cowell's Golden Buzzer push. Their YouTube clip has had millions of views and they remain the bookies' favourite to take the title.

Bars, Melody and Ellen..? Could work.

Britain's Got Talent continues this Sunday (a move from Saturday) at 7:00pm on ITV
