Fresh from winning best Drama Series at this year’s TV Baftas, the cast of Broadchurch have gathered for a read-through of the series two script.
David Tennant and Olivia Colman (who also scooped Best Actress for her role as DS Ellie Miller) are among the returning cast for the second series, which remains shrouded in mystery.
Zoom in all you like, you won’t catch any details off those bits of paper.
The previous series of course created one almighty ‘whodunnit’ and so it’s no wonder creator Chris Chibnall is staying tight-lipped over the storyline of this series, too.
Colman would only tell us at the Baftas that the script is “brilliant”.
Alongside Colman and Tennant are Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill as well as some of the actors who are joining the drama for series two including Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Eve Myles and James D’Arcy.
Filming of the new series will be underway later this month in Dorset and North Somerset
