Matthew McConaughey stars in first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s much-hyped Interstellar

Nowadays we’re accustomed to knowing films inside out before we even make it to the cinema so it’s a rare occurrence for a movie to give out next-to-no details in the months leading up to release. 


With Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, the mystery has done much to hype the sci-fi space odyssey which sees Matthew McConaughey’s return to the silver screen, fresh from his Oscar win last March. A cryptic teaser released last December mostly involved old footage of space so today’s updated trailer marks our first glimpse of what’s going on. Although don’t expect too much…

McConaughey plays Cooper, an astronaut and father who must travel through a wormhole in space to save planet earth. Nolan has assembled an appropriately star-studded cast to support him, including Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck and Michael Caine, whose sonorous voice tells us, “We’re not meant to save the world, we’re meant to leave it.” Take a look below…
