Great British Menu - 6:30pm, BBC2

The first of the London and South East heats sees returning contender Adam Simmonds and newcomers Tom Sellers and Adam Byatt prepare their starters for the D-Day banquet. They must impress a mystery Great British Menu veteran if they are to cook in the regional final.

When Corden Met Barlow – 9:00pm, BBC1

Actor James Corden is on the road with Take That’s Gary Barlow. They’re exploring the singer’s roots, while giving Corden more than enough time to rib the star about his early dodgy fashion choices, gawky dance routines and early performances. Friends and family share stories, as well as former bandmate Robbie who talks candidly about their famous feud.

Prey - 9:00pm, ITV

Detective Marcus Farrow (John Simm) is accused of the murder he’s trying to solve, that of his wife and son. He’s got Detective Inspector Susan Reinhardt (Rosie Cavaliero) hot on his heels. It’s a cat-and-mouse thriller that’ll keep you on your toes.

The Island with Bear Grylls - 9:00pm, Channel 4

Survivor meets Lost meets Lord of the Flies as Bear tries to see if modern man can cope with the trials of survival in the wild on a Pacific island. From a call centre worker and hairdresser via a shepherd and an ex-cop they labour hard to grasp the basics, so it's tough going. But fun to watch from the comfort of your sofa.

Love for Sale with Rupert Everett - 10:00pm, Channel 4

Everett is asking the questions, and he's asking the questions about why people pay for sex. It's a documentary with a direct approach, and a fair bit of pixelation.

24: Live Another Day - 1:00am, Sky1

Jack Bauer is back and he's in London. He's in the UK at the same time as the US President. A coincidence not missed by the CIA, who are trying to have Bauer captured. How will Jack get out of this one? The 1:00am (technically Tuesday morning) airtime is because it's being simulcast with the US showing. Repeats Wednesday at 9:00pm on Sky if you miss it.
