In Which We Serve - 7:10pm, BBC4

Co-directed by the debuting David Lean and Noel Coward, this WWII drama is told in flashback as a group of stranded sailors await rescue from their sinking ship. The memories of her surviving crew re-create the inspiring story of the vessel, and those who served in her.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones - 7:15pm, ITV2

Celebrate Star Wars Day, aka May the Fourth, with this second prequel to the original film starring Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away the Jedi knights are called upon to defend the Republic from the Separatist armies led by renegade Jedi Count Dooku.

Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl - 7:50pm, BBC3

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley made their swashbuckling debut in this box office smash hit which sees governor's daughter Elizabeth Swann kidnapped by The Black Pearl pirates. Blacksmith Will Turner and the ship's former captain, Jack Sparrow, set off to rescue her.

Star Trek - 9:00pm, Film4

In JJ Abrams’ prequel to the sci-fi franchise, an evil Romulan arrives from the future and the young crew of the USS Enterprise find themselves embroiled in an epic battle. 

Dodgeball: a True Underdog Story - 11:10pm, Channel 5

Daft comedy sees a laid-back Vince Vaughn attempt to save his gym from the corporate grasp of White Goodman (Ben Stiller) by entering the US dodgeball championships with his misfit customers.

 Babel - 11:45pm, Channel 4

Multi-strand drama from acclaimed Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Gael García Bernal. Tragedy strikes when an American couple travel to North Africa on vacation following the death of one of their children.
