Is Max Branning (Jake Wood) guilty of murder? It's the big question on the lips of EastEnders fans following last night's dramatic cliffhanger, which saw David Wicks (Michael French) accuse his car-lot colleague of killing Lucy Beale.
Max, a man who would look suspicious even when asleep, is certainly preoccupied and tonight makes further efforts to ensure that his affair with Lucy doesn't come to light. In scenes to be shown this evening at 8pm, Max worries when he realises that the CCTV in the car lot has captured incriminating evidence of him and Lucy arguing.
Panicked about how it will look if anyone gets their hands on the footage, Max decides to delete it. Does this act make him look more guilty than ever?
