Game of Thrones: Kit Harington wants “no more swords, no more horses”

The 27-year-old star is also pretty keen to get rid of Jon Snow's long locks...

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington is fed up of swords and horses.

Which is a shame, as Jon Snow, his character in the hit HBO fantasy drama, can’t get enough of them.

And neither can Milo, the gladiator he plays in upcoming disaster movie Pompeii.

The 27-year-old British star, whose first big feature film hits UK cinemas at the end of this month, has told Rolling Stone that he’s had enough of parts that involve wielding weapons and riding around on horseback, saying: “I told my agent ‘No more swords, no more horses.'”

He’s also keen to land a role that will require him cutting off Jon Snow’s long curly locks…

Let’s just hope he isn’t looking to move away from his Game of Thrones role any time soon though. We’ve had enough Stark deaths recently to last us a couple of seasons…

Game of Thrones continues on Mondays at 9:00pm on Sky Atlantic. Pompeii is in UK cinemas 30 April.
