X-Men Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and James McAvoy (Professor X) have revealed that they will be splitting up for a week of worldwide premieres.
After the global premiere in New York on 10 May they, along with Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Peter Dinklage, Bingbing Fan, Omar Sy, Nicholas Hoult and Ellen Page, will go their separate ways to promote the film.
“Divide and conquer!” as Fassbender explains.
Between them, the stars will greet fans in London, Moscow, Singapore, Sao Paulo, Beijing and Melbourne.
While the locations each actor is visiting are being kept a surprise, Fassbender, McAvoy and Jackman can’t help but boast air miles.
Fassbender will travel a total of 5,029 miles, while McAvoy will rack up 9,356. Not one to “turn this into a p***ing contest”, Jackman reveals he’ll do a whopping 13,375.
Turning to the font of knowledge that is Google, a quick check on air miles from New York to the other destinations still doesn’t make it clear where they are going. Particularly as Fassbender hints he’ll be at more than one premiere. But perhaps Jackman, with the most miles to his name, is heading back to his native Australia? New York to Melbourne alone is 10,386 air miles.
It’s only around 1,500 miles between London and Moscow, so perhaps Fassbender will swing by both?
Singapore to Sao Paulo is just under 10,000 miles. Maybe McAvoy is doing slightly more than he realises and this is his route?
