Prepare for heartbreak in Tuesday’s episode of EastEnders as Ian Beale reels from the bombshell that his daughter Lucy has been found dead.
With the police having broken the news at the climax to Monday’s episode, Ian will next be seen seeking answers as to how Lucy’s death came about.
“I’ve had many storylines over the years which have challenged me, but this one is completely different as it’s a father losing his daughter very suddenly,” says actor Adam Woodyatt. “It’s raw and they haven’t held anything back from the scripts nor have we from the performances.”
Viewers will also see Ian having to break the news to his nearest and dearest in scenes that are sure to bring a tear to the eye: “Ian then has the task of breaking the news to the family who, like him, are utterly devastated,” continues Woodyatt. “It’s raw grief for the whole family. For those days after Lucy’s death, it is heavily focused on the Beales and the devastation.”
