Leonardo DiCaprio and the celebrities who've won and lost street cred through the medium of dance

The Wolf of Wall Street actor was spotted busting some dodgy moves at Coachella, but he's not the only one to show himself up on the dancefloor...

Leo fans, look away now. Mr DiCaprio let his limbs run free at Coachella music festival over the weekend and it weren't pretty...

Have you come to terms with the fact that the one-time king of cool is a bonafide daddy dancer? Nope, neither have we. We have to say, we feel let down - especially after this...

But while their are plenty of celebs who can bust a move, the four-time Oscar nominee isn't the only one to destroy his street cred on the dancefloor. For every Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston throwing impressive shapes, there's a David Walliams... lapdancing. Who needs Strictly Come Dancing when these famous folk are out there, routinely embarrasing themselves with their dodgy dance moves? Here are some of the best and worst celebrity dancers...

Tom "I have a recessive dance gene" Hanks is seen here putting his moves on display for Ellen. We're largely concerned by the hip thrusts and hand waving taking place here...

Breaking Bad's Dean Norris  matched marching with Michael Jackson's Thriller routine. It was never a good idea.

He could have done with a lesson from Benedict Cumberbatch in how to dance along to the Michael Jackson classic. Although, we always knew the Sherlock star had rhythm. Just look at this snap from January's Golden Globes...

Kudos to Emma Stone for being a good sport here, but where did The Amazing Spider-Man actress find those dance moves? The hip thrusts, the arm wiggles or the bum jiggles? We're not sure where to begin...

Maybe her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, could teach her a thing or two with his interpretation of the can-can:

Now, much like Leo has now lost any vestige of cool, our one-time dancefloor hero John Travolta has also crossed over to the dark side. If Danny Zuko was ever your dance-spiration, avert your eyes now. Serious dad dancing alert...

Some tips from Will Smith wouldn't have hurt. Here's the After Earth star putting on a fine father-and-son display with his achingly cool offspring Jaden on The Graham Norton Show...

As we've seen, chat shows are a dangerous place. For every Will Smith, there's a John Travolta. Luckily Damian Lewis avoided the curse when he grooved to Gangam Style on Jonathan Ross. His hips certainly don't lie.

There's a worrying theme in David Walliams' dancing: lap dances. First James Corden, then Simon Cowell. Neither look too pleased about it...

So, after praising and berating celebrity dance skills in equal measure, we think you'll agree there's no better way to end than this. Take it away, Tom Hiddleston...
