Warwick Davis is to add a new string to his bow as the host of a reboot of classic ITV game show Celebrity Squares.
The star of BBC2 comedy Life’s Too Short – who has also appeared in the Harry Potter and Star Wars films – will front the series last presented by the late Bob Monkhouse when it returns to the channel later this year.
Based on noughts and crosses, Celebrity Squares challenges contestants to complete rows on a giant board populated with famous faces by choosing whether to agree or disagree with the stars' answers to general knowledge questions.
The show began in the US as Hollywood Squares and ran in the UK 1975-1979 and 1993-1997, hosted on both occasions by Monkhouse.
Aspiring Celebrity Squares contestants can apply to be on the show via the ITV website, with applications closing on Friday 2 May.
