Zach Braff’s kickstarter-funded movie Wish I Was Here has released its first trailer.
The film, which Braff wrote, directed and starred in, follows Aiden Bloom, a 35-year-old struggling actor who decides to homeschool his children when he becomes unable to pay private school fees.
The trailer itself doesn’t reveal very many plot details, though you can definitely get a feel for film’s artsy, indie atmosphere.
And you can also catch glimpses of the film’s stars, who include Kate Hudson, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons, Braff’s Scrubs co-star Donald Faison and Homeland’s Mandy Patinkin, who interestingly is called Saul in this film as well as the CIA thriller. Yes, I do think that’s interesting.
Wish I Was Here is Braff’s second turn in the directors chair, following 2004 film Garden State.
