Game of Thrones season 4: what Twitter thought of the opening episode

So Game of Thrones returned to our TV screens yesterday.

After what felt like an absolute age - shouldn't they be being a bit speedier if winter really is coming? - we were welcomed back to the world of Westeros.

So naturally we gave it our full and unadulterated attention, right? No, of course we didn't. We took to Twitter instead.

To sing the theme tune...

Embrace the show's questionable morals...

Express our love for new, evil Arya. And her parter in crime The Hound...

Share confusion over the recasting of Daario Naharis...

And praise for new face Oberon "The Red Viper" Martell...

Sometimes a lot of praise...

It might have been the start of a new series, but we also wanted to reiterate that we still hate Joffrey. Obviously.

Even he (and by that we mean a parody account on Twitter) chipped in...

But Joffrey aside, Twitter decreed that it was a good opening episode...

Apart from this guy. He just wasn't that interested.

Game of Thrones continues on Mondays at 9:00pm on Sky Atlantic.
