Need a crash course in all things Westeros? Or just a refresher before you submerge yourself in season four?

Luckily those mischievous chaps over at Honest Trailers are here to oblige, with their no nonsense guide to the hit HBO fantasy series, based on the books of George RR Martin, aka "TV's most notorious serial killer".

So what is Game of Thrones?

Well, it's "kind of like a history test, but with dragons and boobs." Another way to describe it could be a "medieval encyclopaedia slash dungeon masters guide slash porno." Which seems like a pretty accurate description to us.

"Watch as everyone fights to sit on the world's most uncomfortable chair while completely ignoring an invasion of ice zombies that threatens to kill them all," says the trailer, adding, as a helpful note, "All men must die... who are in any way close to Sean Bean."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Game of Thrones season four starts on Monday 7 April at 2:00am and 9:00pm on Sky Atlantic.
