Warning: if you're even slightly scared of clowns, it looks like the next season of American Horror Story is going to take your fear to the next level.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter to announce that the fourth season of the show will have a carnival theme and its title will be American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Freak Show will be set in the 1950s in Jupiter, Florida and follow star Jessica Lange as a German woman who is running one of America's last "freak show" attractions.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy will all appear as some of the freak show performers. Former American Horror Story cast members Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are in negotiations to return to the show.
Ryan Murphy has also shared that this season will be Lange's last after starring as the central character in the previous three seasons.
