In true series style, filming for the series will begin in a glamourous historic setting – Ashton Court in Bristol, which is surrounded by 850-acres of woods and open grassland. However, this year there’s a real surprise – the long-running BBC programme will visit Waltham Forest, in London’s East End.
Presenter Fiona Bruce will join a variety of antique specialists at Waltham Forest Assembly Hall, Forest Road, on August 31.
The show invites members of the public to take along their prized possessions for inspection and valuation. Large items may even be picked up by the show, if you arrange ahead.
The event takes place from 9.30am to 4.30pm and programme organisers say everyone will see an expert (if they are in the queue by 4.30pm).
If you have a large item, you can contact the roadshow team to discuss transportation of the item to the filming location.
The Antiques Roadshow will also visit Kirby Hall in Northamptonshire, Lowther Castle in Cumbria, Tredegar House in Wales and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. Filming will start on May 29, 2014.
